Narcissus papyraceus These fragrant, easy-to-grow fall bulbs make a delightful way to bring cheer indoors and are a thoughtful gift for the holidays. Their elegant white blooms and sweet scent add joy to your home during the cold winter months. Paperwhites can be forced in sandy cactus soil, marble stone, hydro beads, or gravel. Plant at least three bulbs per pot, as a fuller display creates a more striking effect. These large, 15/16 cm bulbs will bloom about three to four weeks after planting, depending on temperature. In Southern states with no danger of freezing, bulbs can also be planted outdoors in October, November, or December.

Plant bulbs in fertile, well drained soil in a spot that gets full sun to light shade. Plant 6 inches deep and space bulbs 6 inches apart. For best effect, plant in groupings of 5 or more. Keep watered during their growth period.
