PINK CAPITATUM

Product Description:

Give the gift of aroma this Valentine’s Day with a scented geranium!

Pelargonium hybrid Pink Capitatum showcases vibrant clusters of bold, shocking pink flowers on sprawling, velvety plants that feel as soft as the inside of a bunny's ear. Plants grow up to 24 inches with a delightful lemon-citrus and rose fragrance. Best kept as houseplants in a sunny window or greenhouse.

Curated especially for this time of year, Scented Geraniums emit natural perfume from oil glands called trichomes that occur through the entire aerial portion of the plant. These fragrant oils evoke the essence of treasured fruits and blooming flowers. A simple brush against the plant or a gentle touch of its leaves fills the air with an enchanting fragrance, perfect for brightening any room or adding a subtle, rose-kissed allure for your Valentine! Hardy to zone 10.

Ships FREE! Plants ship in 4” pots and are about 6” at time of shipment. Available for a limited time and will ship in February in time for Valentine’s Day. Order early for best availability. Available only within the contiguous US. Other items in cart may incur shipping cost.

Fragrant quick growing scented geranium

This is a pretty geranium, leaves are fragrantly scented, and it's growing quickly. It hasn't bloomed yet, and I'm looking forward to seeing a multitude of little pink flowers soon. A very healthy plant. Thank you!

Nice blooms

The geranium hasn't grown much, and to my senses the leaves smell nothing like lemon/rose, but it is blooming, and they are bright and cheery.

pink geranium

I was to slow ordering the 3 scented geranium combo, but I snagged the pink one and it was just delivered today. I've never ordered live plants before so I was a little worried how it would arrive. But not to worry, it's great! Very tall healthy plant.

‘Geranium’ translates to cranesbill; the name derived from their blossom’s resemblance of birds on the wild plants they are cultivated from. Originating from the Cape of Good Hope area of South Africa, considered a flower of antiquity and carried through time for the quality of the softest leaves, the beauty of its blooms and their fragrant volatiles.

Scented geraniums make wonderful gifts and are best kept as houseplants in a sunny window or greenhouse. They can take full sun, don’t require much water and will grow for years to come. Flowering frequently throughout the year and always imparting their aromatic perfume.

Initial Instructions
Carefully remove the plant from its box. Please note that the stems are fragile, so be gentle not to bend. After unpacking, allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to its full exposure. Scented geraniums are well suited for terra cotta clay pottery or any decorative container. Plant in a larger container (at least double the size of the 4” pot it arrives in) with standard potting soil.

Cultivation
Geraniums are very easy-care plants and will bloom continuously. Pinch off expired flowers to encourage new growth. Be cautious not to overwater. Water when the top of the soil is dry and allow any excess water to run off. If the plant stands in water, it could develop root rot and die. We recommend feeding them with a bloom fertilizer during the growing season. You can put it out on the patio in the summer and then take it inside in the fall.

Size at Maturity
18 – 24 inches tall, 12-24 inches wide. Upright and draping.

Exposure
Full sun to part shade.

Hardiness
Tender perennial, hardy to zone 10.

Pests & Diseases
Geraniums are generally not bothered by pests or disease and can work to deter pests from other plants due to their fragrance.
