OYSTER

Product Description:

(Indoors) Pleurotus ostreatus A classic Oyster mushroom with creamy white, medium-sized, scalloped caps.
Oyster mushrooms are favorites in the culinary world and for home gardeners. These fast-growing, reliable varieties are very simple to grow indoors, and the harvests are versatile in the kitchen. Our Oyster kits will produce multiple flushes separated by a few weeks.

Mushroom kits are wonderful gifts to give and receive. After starting the indoor kits, your first harvest of mushrooms is usually within a few weeks. Store kits below 50°F and above freezing, but only for a short time. They are live products, so long delays in starting your kit may reduce your mushroom yield. Our grow kits are a colony of oyster mushroom mycelium growing on a mixture of hardwood sawdust, grain and water. Complete instructions included with every order. Mushroom kits ship at the time the order is placed and should be started within one week of receipt. Available only within the contiguous US.

Awesome

This was our first time trying the oyster mushroom growing process. We found it very easy to do and very rewarding in the end! We were able to get three gross of mushrooms over a period of 6 to 8 weeks. Some of the best mushrooms I have ever had in my life!

Worked pretty without anything special

It worked pretty well without needing anything special, I've got a martha tent now, so I hope to get even better results in the future.

Keeps on giving

I've tried different mushroom blocks and the Oyster are the only ones that continue to produce for multiple (6-8) crops. Each crop gets a little smaller but still plenty to cook with and share. I even tossed the old block in my garage and noticed a few weeks later there were more mushrooms! I wish the other kinds were this reliable.

Great, but only one harvest

I eally enjoyed my shitake mushrooms last year, and had three harvests. The oysters were good too, but did not resprout after the first round.
