Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ Deemed one of the hardiest cultivars, Lucifer brings a touch of tropical elegance to Victorian cut-flower gardens. Blooming in midsummer and often continuing into early fall, its vibrant flame-red flowers create a fiery display, standing proudly in rows along wiry, gracefully arched stems—perfect for cutting and arranging. Reaching 36-42 inches in height, Crocosmia’s sword-like foliage remains attractive even when not in bloom, adding a spiky textured element to the landscape that leaves a lasting impression in any garden. Hardy in zones 5-9.

Bulbs start shipping mid to late February. Available only within the contiguous US.

Love Crocosmia 'Lucifer'

I love the bright red-orange color of Crocosmia 'Lucifer.' I received the corms quickly after ordering, and they seemed to be in excellent condition. I planted them in a large container on my south-facing, Portland area deck and am waiting to see what happens next. I don't expect them to bloom this summer, but I hope to get some leaves. I would be happy to review these again next summer to let you know if they bloom.
