FLAMINGO

Product Description:

Stop here for sweetness! This unique pineberry offers the aroma and juiciness of wild strawberries but with a shelf-life that makes them perfect for small-scale growers looking to sell at markets or for the home gardener longing for that delicious fresh strawberry flavor. Produces white flowers in late spring, reducing the likelihood of spring frost damage, followed by a four-week harvest period beginning in June. The light pink berries have dark red seeds and pink inner flesh fading into creamy white centers. Zones 5–9.

bummed

I had ordered three types of strawberries and unfortunately, none of them made it. I am sure it is probably just user error. I will continue to order from territorial seeds as my seeds all germinate quite well, but I will go local for strawberry's next year.

not the best starts

Two bunches ordered at separate times. Both very dry but were planted on arrival. Out of 50 starts only 2 survived but at least they are trying hard and putting out runners.

Not great but it'll do

I ordered these and was sooo excited, Id been looking for bare roots of this variety everywhere! These came looking very beautiful though I couldn't get them planted for a week with how cold it was still in Missouri. They still looked lovely when i finally got a chance to plant them, but only 4 of the 25 have survived. A bit sad, but the ones that have lived are already putting out runners so I should be able to get my greenstalk filled out before the end of the year. We will see on fruit later in the season (no buds yet), I have high hopes.
