I made the mistake of planting these beans next to a pair of tomato plants that crowded them severely and yet the few that survived that overcrowding bore luscious clusters of delicious yellow beans. So good that I will now be planting them every year--and not crowding them. Like another reviewer said, they freeze well without going mushy.
Great yield , great taste , pod stayed tender longer than other verities planted at the same time . Best yellow bean yet !
Looked for an Italian bush bean everywhere. They were all sold out until I found Territorial at the last minute to plant. Unfortunately my germination rate was less that 50%. At first I assumed it was our cold spring here in Ashland. I replanted 3 times and the same each time. Currently have 10 plants in various stages and numerous flowers and 3 bean pods. I'll let you know what happens later this summer.

Rich and flavorful beans are fiber-packed veggies that promote digestive health and are excellent sources of antioxidants that scavenge free radicals in the body. They are also nitrogen-fixing legumes; beans gather nitrogen from the air and load it into the soil to feed future crops.
Days to maturity are calculated from date of direct seeding.
Culture
• Beans are shallow rooted and can require up to 1/4 inch of water a day during hot weather
• Optimum soil pH is 5.5-6.5, mildly acidic
• Apply 1 cup of TSC's Complete fertilizer per 10 row feet, and 1 inch of compost
Direct Sowing
• One ounce of seed plants 12-15 row feet, 1/2 pound for 100 row feet
• Grow Pole, Runner, and Yard Long beans on trellises
