Initial Instructions
After unpacking, submerge the plant in water immediately allowing the leaves and any shoots to reach to surface. The plant can remain in its small pot and be placed within a larger size container anchored by gravel, small rocks or heavy sand mix. Allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to its water feature.

Cultivation
This plant is winter hardy and will do well in a mid-size container for overwintering, reemerging in the spring. There is no need to move the lily outside of its tub for overwintering. Always maintain the plants in water. Water lilies do well in still water, full sun to dappled light or partial shade. For optimal flowering, the plant would prefer 6 hours of sun per day. Plants in partial shade will still thrive, putting out more leaves and less flowers. Watch for direct, late afternoon sun to prevent scorching. The lily will be ready to bloom this season when day length begins to shorten. Your plant has already been fertilized this season, so it will not need to be fertilized until the next growing season. Fertilize with a pellet of water lily fertilizer pushed into the submerged pot.
