Carminais the sweetest, tastiest filet bean I've ever grown. Fast growing, prolific, and a gorgeous addition to the garden.

Delicious and prolific, too!

I bought them mostly for their looks, but they're a great pole bean. Their looks are also better than in the picture - the leaves are much more purple than shown. Attractive, prolific, delicious, definitely planting this one again this year.

Easy to grow, and delicious!

I thought these would be an attractive gardening experiment. Planted them in a half barrel pot and sent the vines up a hog wire fence panel leaned against my garden shed. They grew fast. The purple vines and pink blossoms are very pretty. In no time I had lovely long, purple beans, sweet and tender. It's September and they are continuing to produce. I will plant these again: so easy and so good!

Beautiful & Delicious!

I was looking for a good pole variety and decided to try Carminat. I will grow this variety every year from now on out. I grew most of it on a Cattle Panel trellis, planted mid-Summer for a Fall Harvest, and grew 8 to 10 plants in a laundry container with bamboo poles to climb on. Both produced, in quality and quantity. Carminat is visibly striking, with long, purple pods, and is absolutely delicious. On a lark I tried some raw in my garden and it was delicious, with a nice, strong flavor. We froze a bunch and just love this pole bean!

Rich and flavorful beans are fiber-packed veggies that promote digestive health and are excellent sources of antioxidants that scavenge free radicals in the body. They are also nitrogen-fixing legumes; beans gather nitrogen from the air and load it into the soil to feed future crops.

Days to maturity are calculated from date of direct seeding.

Culture
• Beans are shallow rooted and can require up to 1/4 inch of water a day during hot weather
• Optimum soil pH is 5.5-6.5, mildly acidic
• Apply 1 cup of TSC's Complete fertilizer per 10 row feet, and 1 inch of compost

Direct Sowing
• One ounce of seed plants 12-15 row feet, 1/2 pound for 100 row feet
• Grow Pole, Runner, and Yard Long beans on trellises

• Store at 40-45°F and 95% relative humidity
