This bush-habited version has everything the pole variety offers but in a compact plant that quickly matures loads of beans in a single flush. The 20 inch tall, self-supporting plants produce ample harvests of 4 ½–5 inch long, green beans with an undeniably classic flavor. White seeds; 75 per ounce.

Best Beans Around

I have tried other green beans but found the flavor not as good and canning them made them chewy. Blue Lake Green Beans stay moist and can well and keep their flavor. I highly recommend this variety if they will grow in your area.

The best

This was my first time purchasing from territorial seeds and I was not disappointed! All of my bush beans I planted germinated about 15 plants total. They are also producing a great amount of beans. I would highly recommend.

Awesome bush bean!

Grew these last year and will be growing them again this year. Grew them in a 3' by 8' bed and packed them in there tight. Harvested about 40-50 pounds in that little spot. Them produced all the way up to the frost. They where beautiful. Tasted like the green beans I remembered as a kid. They took longer to start creating the seeds in the pods giving me plenty of time to harvest when I needed to. I canned some, sauteed some and eat a lot right in the garden raw. I find these a lot better than the pole bean version.

Rich and flavorful beans are fiber-packed veggies that promote digestive health and are excellent sources of antioxidants that scavenge free radicals in the body. They are also nitrogen-fixing legumes; beans gather nitrogen from the air and load it into the soil to feed future crops.

Days to maturity are calculated from date of direct seeding.

Culture
• Beans are shallow rooted and can require up to 1/4 inch of water a day during hot weather
• Optimum soil pH is 5.5-6.5, mildly acidic
• Apply 1 cup of TSC's Complete fertilizer per 10 row feet, and 1 inch of compost

Direct Sowing
• One ounce of seed plants 12-15 row feet, 1/2 pound for 100 row feet
• Grow Pole, Runner, and Yard Long beans on trellises
