Interesting addition to the greenhouse

Purchased these saffron crocus bulbs as a new addition to our greenhouse. All thirty of the bulbs sprouted, are growing nicely, and even starting to multiply stems. Five even produced blossoms, which I wasn't expecting this first season. So far, very pleased. The true test will be how they survive through this first winter...I have high hopes for success!

Super fun

We got saffron flowers right away in the first planting in the late fall. Honestly still figuring out how to harvest and use. The flowers are short lived and go fast. But very happy and excited to get these dialed in over the next couple of years.

Saffron

all ten have sprouted - AND, i had 20 from the previous season that i had to dig up (long story) and they sat in a bucket all year after the replanting went south and STILL SPROUTED. Tough little suckers. ALL are doing well and i'm excited for my first "harvest" ;)

crocus success

I'm always worried with bulbs as I have not had the best results with them. I planted my crocus bulbs shortly after receiving them and was out in the garden last week for clean up and saw all the little green sprouting up. So happy with the results, can't wait for next season to see them in bloom

Hardiness Zone Listed per variety

Plant bulbs immediately upon arrival. Fall blooming crocus prefer a location in full sun to partial shade. Plant in moist, well-drained soil, 4 inches deep and space them 6 inches apart. Blooms will appear soon after planting.
