ARBEQUINA

ARBEQUINA

Product Description:

An exciting edible ornamental that brings a bold European statement to your yard. Arbequina is a handsome, compact tree with silvery/gray foliage and small fruit suitable for curing and making olive oil. This hardier, Spanish variety produces green fruit that ripen to dark brown/black in early fall. The plants are anxious producers, bearing fruit in the first or second year after planting. Gorgeous when planted in containers, or set directly in the ground in zones 8 and higher. Trees require at least one half day of sun.

Olives are 1 year old and ship late March in 3 ½ inch pots. Order early for best availability. Available only within the contiguous US.

Olive bliss

I bought my olive tree 2 yrs ago & I wasn't sure when it arrived that I would have much success growing it as it was very small. I couldn't be happier my tree has tripled in size & I am now going to transplant into a larger pot. It will be ready to plant in the ground safely in another year . I do over winter the tree in my greenhouse which has helped . I would recommend try buying one , it's been worth it so far for me.

Kinda disappointed

It was shipped well and everything came safe and sound.
I was thinking about this plant and thought I would try ordering it again. It barely grew at all everything else did fine just not this. I might order again just to see if it was me but I'm not sure.

Disappointed

I ordered an olive plant as a gift and it was closer to 4 inches upon arrival. Almost a year later it has hardly grown at all. It's been a disappointing purchase - I've enjoyed everything else from Territorial seeds.

Initial Instructions
After unpacking, allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to full exposure. If you are keeping your olive tree in a container, re-pot it into a 6-8 inch diameter pot. The plant will require re-potting to a larger container as it grows. Up-pot when the plant appears root bound or when large roots push out the drainage holes.

Cultivation
Allow the soil to dry out a bit between waterings. Protect your plant during the winter the first year until it is well established. In areas colder than zone 8, bring plants indoors to a bright window or into a greenhouse during the winter months.
