Repurposed

I trialed red cozy-coats (new) against pale green (2 year old) coats on multiple tomato plants this season and saw no appreciable difference. When draining the red coats at the end of this season, all of them showed signs of splitting at both ends of the seam. After I split the remaining seam, I refilled the tubes and laid the water-filled slab against a chicken wire frame sheltering spinach starts. The spinach is doing well with this extra bit of insulation. Otherwise, I feel like I received an inferior product when compared to my 2-year old cozy coats that are good for a 3rd season.

Love this product

I garden on the cool, rainy Oregon coast. Summer doesn’t start till July! This year,I put cozies around my tomatoes, peppers and basil when I planted them in late May- and took them off in early July when it got warm(ish). My plants are at least a month ahead of where they were last year- and I am picking some tomatoes!

won the contest

I tried three different ways to grow tomatoes this year and the Cozy Kote won hands down. The plants were bigger and healthier and set fruit earlier than the other ways I tried.

Happy!

So far I'm very pleased. Tomatoes are difficult to grow here in Montana but si far these are the biggest plants I've ever had...I'm optimistic!
