Produced well even in cooler climate!

We are in central Indiana and I doubted I would be able to grow these at all. We planted 5 plants, and got more peppers than I expected out of them! They are much better than (larger, more regular) than store bought bell peppers.

We did not plant indoors and transplant, just direct sow'ed them into our raised beds with a mix of topsoil and peat moss.

Disappointing

I've had these seeds successfully sprout multiple times, however the Majority died off when they were transplanted.
Yes, I did harden them off.
The 2-3 plants that did survive after transplant never developed any Further and remained the same size that they were when I transplanted them.
No growth. No flowers. No peppers.
I also tried starting them in my greenhouse so they wouldn't need hardening off- still died at transplant.
I'm kinda salty on this one. I used up an entire seed packet this year (and countless amounts of time) and didn't get a single home grown pepper out of the deal.

Disappointed in this variety

I was pretty disappointed with these peppers. They were anything but what was advertised. The peppers were 3 lobed, half the size, and thin walled. I have purchased many, many seeds from this company and was not at all happy with the outcome. I typically share the overabundance of my garden with my church family, but I was too embarrassed to share these. Definitely will purchase a different variety next season.

I bought this as a plant as the picture shows LARGE peppers. I only have 2 on the plant the middle of August and they are so small. Disappointing.

Capsicum annuum Our wide array of fabulous peppers, both sweet and hot, offers one of the richest sources of nutrients in the plant kingdom. Hot peppers contain capsaicin, which revs up your metabolism and reduces general inflammation in the body.

Days to maturity are calculated from date of transplanting and reflect edible green fruit.

Culture
• Peppers are warm-season annuals that grow best in composted, well-drained soils with a pH of 5.5-6.8
• Extra calcium and phosphorus are needed for highest yields
• Plants perform best when grown in raised beds and covered with plastic mulch
• Row cover young plants, remove after blossoms form
• Peppers grow slowly in cool soils; do not transplant before weather has stabilized
• Peppers set fruit best between 65-85°F

Direct Sowing
• Not recommended

Transplanting
• Start seeds in trays 8-12 weeks before anticipated transplant date
• Once seedlings have 2 sets of true leaves, up-pot to a 4 inch pot
• Use 1/2 cup TSC's Complete fertilizer and a shovelful of compost around each plant
• Fertilize with Age Old Bloom when plants begin to flower

Harvest & Storage
