I am trying the grafted plants to see if I like one variety better than the other. I find both varieties are very good so am considering the same grafted plants next year. The grafted tomatoes arrived in excellent condition and are now producing a lot of fruit.
I got this tomato plant last year and it produced well into October despite cooling temperatures. It grew massive and I had to keep chopping the top off. I purchased smaller plants this year and much to my surprise seeds leftover from this one sprouted and have overtaken the new plants (which seem to not be enjoying the hot temps). Meanwhile my 6 surprise plants are thriving so I’m excited to get a repeat harvest. Definitely give this plant room as its sun leaves are aggressive and actually shaded out nearby plants last year. Need either a very tall trellis and ladder or will have to top the plant.
At first, I was kind of dismayed by how tiny the plants were when they arrived. But I repotted them into bigger pots, and they took off. They grew rapidly and robustly, and I'll buy them again next season. I just wish you sold grafted black cherry tomato plants, too.
I grow tomatoes in the same ground year after year. These grafted plants permit me to have home grown tomatoes in a city lot too small to allow for crop rotation, yet for more than ten summers have produced bumper crops of delicious orange and red cherry tomatoes on 7' tall plants, always in the exact same spot.

Culture
• Determinate tomatoes: grow compactly, sprawling laterally, usually do not require staking, and fruit ripens over a short period of time
• Indeterminate tomatoes: grow on long vines, generally require pruning to 1 or 2 leaders that need to be trellised
• Fertile, well-drained raised beds covered with plastic mulch promote early growth and better yields
• Tomatoes are high feeders and will benefit from regular fertilization with Age Old Bloom
• To prevent blossom end rot use a high calcium amendment
• Overwatering can cause fruit to crack
Direct Sowing

Transplanting
• Sow seeds in trays 6-8 weeks before anticipated transplant date; up-pot into 3-4 inch pots when the first set of true leaves appears
• Strong light and cooler temperatures (60-70°F) prevent plants from getting leggy
• Fertilize with Age Old Grow every 10-14 days
• When transplanting work in compost, 1/2 cup of TSC's Complete fertilizer, and handful of bone meal
• Determinates can be spaced 18-24 inches apart, indeterminates 24-36 inches apart
• Tomatoes can be buried up to the top 2 sets of leaves
• Use Kozy-Coats or Victorian Bell Cloches to protect young plants
