Evie 2 has taken right off and is flowering and just beginning to set fruit. Planted in April. We are looking forward to a great harvest!
Bare roots were hydrated for 48 hours prior to planting in one quart containers. After being placed as a group in an open, sunny spot in my garden, all plants are looking very healthy and vigorous. I'm looking forward to a delicious harvest.
Washington county (97124). We would've expected early April but they arrived early, in fact tracking said it came overnight from where it was packed; most has at least a little green attached. Placed immediately in a wide flower vase to hold for a few hours while the bed was readied with fertilized loamy soil and compost. Now 10 weeks later every single one survived (including the extras) and most are vigorously flowering.
I received my order in early March and transplanted them within days. Sadly I didn't have a single crown come out of dormancy. I was really looking forward to taste these compared to my Seascape.

Culture
• Strawberries require fertile, well-drained soil, high in organic matter, with an optimum soil pH of 5.5-6.5
• Prepare beds by deeply digging in a 1 inch layer of compost and 5 pounds of bone meal for 100 square feet
• Plant in raised beds, and cover with plastic or straw mulch to prevent fruit contact with soil, which can cause rot
• Keep beds evenly moist, use drip irrigation if possible, avoid wetting fruit; plants need 1-1 1/2 inches of water per week during the growing season
• Pinch off runners to keep plants productive
• June bearing: Produce berries over a 2-3 week period in early summer
• Everbearing: Produce berries consistently from late spring through fall

• Sow indoors 2 months before last frost date
• Strawberry seeds need light to germinate
• Keep moist with a mister
