One of our favorites

A very good cuke. It makes a fine salad cucumber when grown out, and when young, and sliced crosswise the pickles are crisp. In between we have sometimes used them as stirring sticks for iced tea. A tasty novelty. Can be finicky to germinate.
I purposely tried the cross pollination bit. They may develop a few large deeds which may be kind of bitter, but the cuke is unchanged.
Grown outside in Southern Maryland.

Seeds not sprouting.

I've planted 4 seeds and nothing is sprouting. I tired one seed; waited 2 weeks and tried another seed. After 3 weeks; I planted 2 seeds but still no plants. I've been growing vegetables for over 50 years and this is the first time I've had such difficulty germinating seeds.

Delicious and prolific!

I started these indoors and planted 3 plants in a 30-inch pot on my patio with a tomato cage as a trellis. They produced beautiful, sweet, and lush cucumbers all summer. They started fruiting early, and kept going into early October in the southwest Washington. These are the best cucumbers I've ever grown. My research said they should not be allowed to cross-pollinate, so keep them away from your other cucumbers and melons if you grow them outside.

Outstanding

We grew these on a trellis in 2022, zone 7a. I have never been able to grow cucs without having bitterness issues at some point. This summer was especially HOT. Temperatures were often over the 100 degree mark. We did not have a single bitter cuc and they were prolific to boot. No disease. My only complaint would be that you can't save seed:) Will be buying more for sure.

Cucumis sativus A favorite in cuisine worldwide, cucumbers possess health benefits too numerous to mention. Incorporate cucumbers in your diet to aid with weight loss, as they are exceptionally low in calories (only about 8 calories in 1/2 cup), aid digestion, and rid toxins from the body. Among the more unusual qualities of the humble cuke is its ability to ease skin irritations. Use a piece of cucumber skin to soothe burns.

Culture
• Cucumbers perform best in fertile, well-drained soil with a pH 5.5-7.0
• Consistent, even watering is critical for best plant growth and fruit development
• Raised beds, plastic mulch, and trellising can improve yields, keep fruit straight and scab free
• Incorporate a shovelful of compost and 1/2 cup TSC's Complete fertilizer per hill

Direct Sowing
• For best germination, keep soil evenly moist but not too wet
• Cover hill with Kozy-Coats, Victorian Bell Cloches, or a row cover to speed up germination
• Thin to the strongest 1-2 plants when first true leaves emerge

Transplanting
• Start indoors in 4 inch pots, 3-4 weeks before anticipated transplant date
• Avoid letting starts get root bound; transplant carefully as to not disturb roots
