Keeps it’s color when cooked

I enjoy growing these vining beans. Up to 7 ft.
They have been very productive, freeze well, grow in pairs. Wasps land at the base of the growing beans and benefit without damaging the beans. When cooked they maintain a purple color.

Red Noodles

My wife wanted these as they remind her of her childhood in an Asian Country, they are prolific growers and they have just begun to produce flowers, hopefully the beans will be just as beautiful and tasty as my wife is telling me.

Crazy bean!

My experience: The taste seemed sweeter than all the beans I have grown the past 50 some years. I grew them on a 7' metal trip-pod in my front yard, along with Yellow Romano and Sunshine. The Red Noodle were the 1st to germinate. Unfortunately, they were immediately and continuously plagued by ants/aphids. I did my best to combat this situation for many many weeks. I had to thin the vines, and constantly wipe off aphids and spray (organic) the ants. Therefore - the Red Noodle never really thrived. There was no infestation at all on the Romano or Sunshine beans. I got perhaps 3 dozen slender, long,, deep red beans, which I ate raw. I will try them again in a different spot. I was obviously disappointed as they were so lovely and unusual.
