ROSANNE 1 BLACK PEARL
ROSANNE 1 BLACK PEARL
Product Description:
Initial Instructions
After unpacking, allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to its full exposure. Roseanne 1 Lisianthus are tall plants and make exceptional cut flowers. Situate in an area with rich, well-drained, not soggy soil. Place the plant at or slightly above the original soil line and water in well. To achieve good blooms, pinch off the top of the plant to right above the first node. If the plant was already pinched, you won’t need to do this. Pinching forces the plant to grow branches, which results in more flowers!
Cultivation
Water when the top several inches of the soil is dry and soak well. Deep, infrequent watering is best. Lisianthus is native to dry areas, so avoid wetting the leaves when you irrigate. In the earlier stages of growth, the plants will require more frequent irrigation, but as they begin to bud, taper the frequency. The plants have relatively low fertility needs, but one early dose of an all-purpose grow formula with added calcium will produce strong plants. As the crop matures, they can reach up to 4 feet tall. Provide support for the plants as you would for a dahlia or other taller cut flower.
Harvest
Cut the stem when one or more flowers are open. Put the cut stems in tepid water and use flower preservative for best results.
Spacing
4-6 inches or slightly more for optimum air circulation.
Size at Maturity
36-48 inches tall

Full sun
